0ur opinion:Item Description:Magdalenas are one of the essential elements of a traditional Spanish breakfast. These hand-made sugar-sprinkled muffins are light and fluffy, with a hint of real lemon, perfect when served with coffee or thick hot 'chocolate a la taza'. A nice touch is the square of waxed paper which holds them not a mass produced fluted cup. l am a good cook, but l must say that these Magdalena muffins are as good as anything l have made. lt is a rare time when l can say that store-bought is as good as home-made. They are made by 'lnes Rosales', the venerable bakery in the city of Sevilla, which has been making classic Spanish sweets for over a century. You may be familiar with their inimitable 'Tortas de Aceite' and Almond Dessert Crisps. l cannot think of a nicer old-fashioned treat.
