* Simple and delicious ...
These bars are simple and delicious, but the name is a bit misleading. There aren't actually any almonds in them! There is, however, natural almond flavoring. Other than that, they are light, sweet, and almond-y tasting.

Too sweet
We love coconut and organic goods, so this seemed great for a candy bar alternative. But.....I'm very in tune to my body and it's also my job as a good mom to notice how things affect my children. I noticed that every time I or my children had one, it depressed our immune resistance. What I mean by that is that I noticed almost immediate subtle signs of the first twinges of getting flu or cold symptoms. I thought it was just a coincidence but it kept happening every time we ate one. I don't think we're all allergic to any of the ingredients, so the only logical guess is that the amount and form of the sugar is too much to handle at one time. There is so much sweetening syrup that we would start having to clear our throats immediately after eating one, (as usually happens when one eats an excessively oily or sugary item). The taste is good but I wish that they would have made a recipe with something else to hold it together besides only a sugar syrup. I'm grateful to this company for trying to provide something pure and simple, but I can't say that we'll be ordering this again due to the fact that my goal is to provide health promoting things to eat for my family. Just because it's organic doesn't mean it will strengthen your body. Though, if I had to choose between this and a commercial candy bar, I would still choose this. We haven't tried any of the other flavors.

they're all good!
I have several boxes of these coconut bars. They work for me on several levels. First, it doesn't matter which one I pick up- they're all good. They give great sustained energy; they're not overly sweet. And they're all delicious. They also have a really long shelf life- coconut is a very stable form of fat.

These were just as good as their other coconut bars and the mango was not overwhelming.
